Before the Fall

"One bite of the fruit from theTree of Knowledge and you will be God's equal."
"I don't know."  Eve said, shaking her head, "It's on Adam's taboo list. He says God wouldn't like it."

Eve turned away from the tree with a bored little sigh.

The Serpent put his arms around Eve's waist and nuzzled her ear.  "Come on, Eve, you know, you want to."

Eve shivered slightly in response to his caress and turned to gaze into his dark, liquid eyes.

Adam was a dork. How could he name this wonderful, beautiful creature a "Serpent?"  He was almost as devastatingly handsome as Adam . . . but Adam was so stuffy. Too busy naming God's creations and taking those long, evening walks with God.  Yeah, so busy with God, he had no time for her!

Eve had a hard time differentiating between Adam and the Serpent.  Sure, she was made from Adam's rib as Adam's companion but he was such a lump!  All physical attributes were in place. . . but Adam just wasn't as gifted as dear serpent.

"Let me think about it, okay?"  Eve turned fully into the Serpent's embrace, running her hands over his iridescent chest.  "Let's play that game you taught me." Eve brushed her lips against his.

"Okay, but --," Lucifer in Serpent form, sighed and began some explorations of his own.

The Lord God Almighty would be severely ticked.  God had long range plans.  Came with the territory, being Omnipotent, Omnipresent and Omniscient.  Can't leave well enough alone.

He wasn't smart, just a dumb, grunt Archangel.  Why else had he fallen in with God's plan and been kicked out of Heaven?  He was supposed to get Eve to eat the fruit.. . but . . . Eve was just too tempting to pass up.

Trouble in Paradise

 "It is thy problem."

"Great.  Terrific. You know I hate it when you talk down to me as the Lord All Mighty."

"I am that I am. Lucifer, our most obedient creature, we have every confidence in your persuasive abilities."

"Yeah, yeah.  Can the snow job.  I wasn't aware of all the parameters.  I ain't omniscient." Kicked out of heaven, trumpted up charges of rebellion and now this!  "She ain't interested.  I've tried, believe me, I've tried.  I've done my devilish best but Eve just won't eat the forbidden fruit from the Tree of Knowledge."  Lucifier paused to wipe his perspiring brow. "If you won't give me just a little help on this one, I can't see your Great Plan coming to fruition.  Why's it got to be Eve?  Can't the Dork do it?"

 "Adam?"

 Lucifer sighed at God's forbidding tone.  Nope.  Wouldn't do, not God's new pet. But Eve . . . Eve was too . . . she was . . . wow.  "I'll give it another try.  I won't promise success, but I'll try . . . again."

"We knew, you would."

Lucifer nodded and quickly disappeared into the shadows of Eden.  He knew exactly where to find Eve.

She would be where Adam wasn't.

Enough of parables, promises and praises to God on High.  If Eve was willing and he was almost sure she was, they would escape tonight.  Hell wasn't such a bad place especially with Eve's womanly touch to fix it up.
